Billy Crudup takes the starring role in this extraordinary play. It's on at the West End's Ambassadors Theatre, a fabulously funny production transferring to London's West End from March 2024, in the capital after sell-out in New York and Los Angeles. It marks Billy Crudup's West End debut as well as the one man show's UK premiere. Directed by Leigh Silverman, it'll be inspiring audiences from 13th March to 11th May 2024. Described as 'an acting masterclass', it's full of bad language, mentions of sexual acts, violence and drug use as Crudup portrays nineteen characters in an hour and twenty minutes.
Tony and Emmy Award-winning Crudup's US performance earned him the Outer Critics Circle Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, Lucille Lortel Award, Drama Desk Award and an Obie, and he's thrilled to be at the helm for the UK transfer. In his words West End audiences are “some of the most discerning, intelligent and hungry audiences in the world.” Loved for his brilliant work on The Morning Show, Coast of Utopia, No Man's Land, and Almost Famous, Crudup is just as amazing in this, David Cale's eccentric and totally compelling thriller. If you've ever wondered what it's be like to change your identify and con your way into a wealthy family's hearts, put this one on your list.
