Roll back time to the late 1950s and a new TV show, made by CBS, was rocking America. And what a paranoid America it was, scared of nuclear war, aliens, space travel, extra dimensions, all sorts of things. Every decade has its monsters, and back then the producers harnessed every fear they could dig up to create a programme that ultimately thrilled the western world. 15 years and 156 episodes later, it was a cult classic. And it still is. Welcome to the magical world of The Twilight Zone, where nothing is as you expect and everything is... well, weird. Very weird.
Thanks to the wonderful Rod Serling, Charles Beaumont and Richard Matheson for writing the stories way back then. Thanks to Anne Washburn, who together with director Richard Jones waded through all 156 episodes to winkle out the best. The lighting is brilliant. The set design, sound and costumes are awesome. It's funny, it's scary, it's strange, it's mysterious. This remarkable adaptation of eight episodes of the infamous Twilight Zone is designed to thrill, a smashing theatrical experience that's transferring to the West End in March 2019. Prepare to have an excellent time.
